These workshops are open to anyone interested in starting a business, for those who have commenced, or if you are simply curious about how business works.

Series of Morning Workshops & Seminars
Blanchardstown Area Partnership offers in a variety of courses, workshops and seminars to help people gain the knowledge necessary to develop and run a successful business.
These are a series of individual seminars which have been developed as stand alone training, This means that each workshop is about one specific topic, from Business Planning to Marketing to Tax and VAT.
Added together, they develop into a very comprehensive start your own business course. However, as each class is an individual seminar, participants are free to choose which programmes are more relevant to their business.
This is intended to aid people gain the necessary knowledge to manage their own business on their own terms. Participants may attend a series of classes or simply opt to attend one or two topics of their choice.

start UP
‘start UP’ is a 1 day business seminar
Next seminar takes place on Wednesday, 14 April, 10am to 2pm.
start UP is a 1 day seminar designed to provide participants with an overview as to what is involved with running a business.
This workshop is targeted at people who are considering starting a business but are unsure where or how to begin. The objective of this 1 day programme is to answer the major questions that most people have about starting or running a business – no matter how big or small.
This workshop will also answer the major questions that most people have about starting or running a business.
Major topics covered on the day include:
- What you will need to prepare before you start
- Where and how to register your business
- Legal Structures, Sole Trader v Ltd Company
- How the tax system works
- Revenue – what you can expect from them & what they will expect from you
- How much money will your business have to make
- What assistance is there for me
- "Will I lose benefits?"
You will also be given an information pack to take home.
Classes take place from 10am to 2pm.

SUCCEED
SUCCEED is a 2 week enterprise course for people from Ethnic Minority backgrounds. The main focus of SUCCEED is on creating a better understanding of how business is conducted in Ireland and Irish business culture. While encouraging Ethnic entrepreneurs that them can succeed in Ireland.
