Child & Family Well Being

Dublin 15 has one of the highest populations of children and young people in Ireland. Pauline works in the area of Family and Child Well being. She supports a number of the community childcare services in the area and has recently established the D15 Community Childcare Service Steering Group which is made up of representatives form BAP; Fingal County Childcare Committee; the Community Childcare Services in the area; Fingal County Council; Barnardos and the HSE. The role of the group is to work with the community childcare services to ensure they remain viable and get the support they need in this challenging sector.

The Partnership is also represented on the Fingal Children’s Services Committee and the Fingal County Childcare Committee. The Partnership was part of a team led by Fingal County Childcare Committee which put together an application to the National Early Years Access Initiative for a Fingal Parenting Initiative. The application was successful and Pauline will provide more information on it as the initiative roles out in the Blanchardstown area.
