What?

The Joblink Network is a weekly drop in support group for Jobseekers living in the Dublin 15 area or working with the Local Employment Service. It is a forum for jobseekers to access job and training opportunities, advice, job application and interview support, share contacts for companies and access services which can support people who are unemployed. Job vacancy opportunities are also shared through  daily email alerts.

Who?

Anyone who is job seeking in the Dublin 15 area and is open to networking and supporting other job seekers can drop in to our group  (Bring PPS number for sign in)

When?

Every Monday (except Bank Holidays) from 10am – 12pm

Where?

Dillon House, 106 Coolmine Industrial Estate  (beside Power City), Clonsilla, Dublin 15

Why?

Advantages to Job Seekers:

• Forum to build up networks and access specific information needed to assist with their job search
• Opportunityto practice networking skills
• Develop a self marketing strategy
• Access to job opportunities notified to the Local Employment Service and the Network
• Exposure to speakers and information of specific interest to the group ie: recruiting employers, motivational speakers, training opportunities etc
• Motivation and self development
• Opportunityto build up social media connections/profile through a linked in group

What to Expect?

Meeting Format:

• Open Networking – Tea and Coffee chat and catch up
• Group Work, 2 Min Introductions - each person gets two minutes to introduce themselves, outline their Unique Selling Point (USP), identify who they would like to connect with and mention something they have learned that may be useful to the group of job seekers
• Idea Sharing/Job News - Please bring details of job opportunities, events, meetings, anything you feel would be useful to the group
• Guest Speaker- relevant to the groups needs
• Open Networking – opportunity to exchange specific contacts/information
