Kidz Zone Early Years’ Service is in Mulhuddart Community Centre and is a Community based childcare provider.

We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Early Years Practitioner.
The role is best suited to a multi-tasker who has a warm, caring and professional manner with strong work ethic and team spirit.


The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Ensuring the individual needs of children are identified and met
  • Interacting, engaging and being on the children’s' level
  • Ensuring the environment is child led and child focused
  • Ensuring child stimulation using all equipment at your disposal
  • Managing the smooth running of the room & carrying out the daily routine
  • Daily communication to parents, management and colleagues
  • High level of communication skills
  • Awareness of health and safety issues and childcare legislation
  • A multi-tasker with exceptional time-management and ability to work on own initiative
  • Creative skills to develop age-appropriate activities
  • Willingness to work flexible hours

The successful candidate must have minimum FETAC Level 6 in Childcare essential or Early Years degree.

The Parents Plus Early Years Programme
is a practical and positive parenting course promoting confidence, learning and good behaviour in young children aged 1 to 6.

Topics include:

  • ​Being a responsive parent
  • Child-centred play and communication
  • Supporting children’s self-esteem
  • Promoting language and development
  • Helping children concentrate and learn
  • Building cooperation in young children
  • Establishing daily routines
  • Managing tantrums and misbehaviour
The Parent Plus Children’s Programme is a practical and positive course on managing emotional/ behaviour problems and promoting children’s learning and confidence aged 6 to 11.
Topics Include:

  • Solving childhood problems
  • Play and special time with children
  • Building children’s self esteem
  • Encourage learning/supporting homework
  • Setting rules & helping children keep them
  • Establishing routines
  • Managing misbehaviour using consequences & sanctions
Practical and positive course on parenting adolescents (aged 11 to 16) focusing on effective communication, problem solving
and building positive relationships.
Topics include:

  • Getting to know your teenager
  • Communicating positively and effectively
  • Building your teenager’s confidence
  • Negotiating rules and boundaries
  • Teaching teenagers responsibility
  • Positive discipline for teenagers
  • Managing conflict
  • Solving problems together
