Parish / Community Development Programme Socio Economic Profiles

Small area population statistics (SAPS) are not collated across parish boundaries by the Central Statistics Office. Historically this has meant that it has not been possible to compile socio-economic profile for Community Development Projects or Family Resource Centres, whose catchment area mirror parish boundaries.

In 2010 Blanchardstown Area Partnership sought to fill this void writing up area profiles of these communities by analysing enumerator data instead. These in-depth reports are primarily of use for Community Development Projects or Family Resource Centres. However, they may support other organisations based in particular neighbourhoods of Dublin 15 or students/ residents who want to know more about the unique demographic features of their locality.
