Partnership Structure
Board structure - Blanchardstown Area Partnership is a company limited by guarantee, with charitable status. The Partnership is managed by a Board of Directors, which currently includes seventeen members - six community directors, two social partner directors, four statutory directors, three elected county councillors and one representative each from Fingal County Council and the Fingal Enterprise Board. The Chair of the Board is Guy Thompson, and he was elected to this position in June 2010.
Plan Implementation Boards (PIBs) - The membership of each PIB is composed of representatives from a range of local interests, including community groups and statutory agencies. There is a clear communication line between the PIBs and the Board of the Partnership, and each PIB nominates two Directors to the Board at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Statutory Agencies - Six state agencies are represented on the Partnership Board, including the Health Service Executive, Department of Social Protection, FÁS, County Dublin VEC, Fingal County Council and Fingal Enterprise Board.
Social Partners - There are currently two social partner representatives on the Board, one each from the Irish Congress of Trade Unions and the D15 Chamber (representing employers).
Staffing - The Partnership employs 45 staff, both full-time and part-time, across a number of programmes. All job vacancies are advertised on this website.
