Suicide Awareness Dublin 15

Suicide Awareness Dublin 15 was established in May 2010. The group was convened by Corduff Community Development Project. The group is comprised of people bereaved through suicide, or who have experienced suicidal feelings. Many of those in the group have undergone training in suicide prevention, bereavement support and counselling. 

Services

• Provision of information leaflets & useful phone numbers
• Provision of suicide related training such as SafeTALK and ASIST in conjunction with HSE
• Home visits to families bereaved by suicide, by trained support workers who have themselves experienced suicide
• A bereavement support booklet which details the emotional and legal implications associated with a suicide
• Referral to a range of professional suicide support services
• Bereavement Support Group
• Drop-in office for information, support and referral
