TÚS Blanchardstown is now up and running. Since taking up the positions as Team Leaders in May 2011 Paul Billings and Maria Dunphy have received 15 formal applications from local community and voluntary groups. These represent 30 possible placement opportunities.
The first referrals were received from the local Department of Social Protection office on 20th June 2011. The vast majority of people are job ready and eager to participate in this new initiative. Following our skills assessment and matching procedures we have placed four to date and we hope to match and place another four or five people in the next few weeks.
The initial involvement of local organisations has been rewarding. We welcome and invite further expressions of interest.
