Tús Progress

Since establishing Tús last year we have placed 19 participants with local groups and organisations and we expect to have another 15 by mid February. We aim to have all 80 places filled by the end of March. To do this we need more assistance from organisations in the Blanchardstown Area to widen our jobs bank.
If you are a community group, charity or non profit organisation you can apply to Tús to become a placement provider to fill any role you see neccessary.
The types of organisations that have availed of the Tús programme have been to date:
- Local Community Centres
- Training Organisations
- Community Creche
- Charitable Organisations
- Youth Organisations
- Sporting League
- Voluntary Groups
The types of eligible employment will include:
- Energy conservation work in homes and community buildings
- Social care of all age groups and people with disabilities
- Caretaking, securing and supervising of community building and spaces
- Renovation of community and sporting facilities
- Work in support of cultural and heritage activities
- Community administration and community event management
- Coaching for sporting activities
- Repair of equipment for developing countries
